Resident Permit Romania

If you are a foreign national planning to live in Romania for a period of more than 90 days, you will need to obtain a long-term residence permit. This permit is valid for a period of up to 5 years and can be renewed.

To obtain a long-term residence permit, you will need to submit an application to the Romanian embassy or consulate in your home country or, if you are already in Romania, to the Romanian Immigration Office. The application will need to include a variety of documents, such as proof of accommodation, proof of financial means to support yourself, and a criminal record certificate.

It is also possible to obtain a temporary residence permit if you plan to stay in Romania for less than 90 days. This permit is valid for a maximum of 90 days within a 6-month period and can be used for tourism, business, or other short-term visits.
